We recently held our Green School's Action Day, under the theme 'Energy'.
Everyone had great fun completing experiments, and learning how to conserve energy for the day.
We switched off, plugged out and didn't use anything electrical for the entire school day.
Staff brought in flasks of hot water, as the use of kettles was strictly prohibited!
We also turned off our school bell for the day, and reverted back to the use of the old reliable hand held bell.
We found out that on an average school day, we use 40 units of electricity approximately.
On our action day, we used only 5 units of electricity! That was an excellent result for the day.
Also, many boys and girls have submitted their entry for the Green School's Motto competition. The winner will be announced shortly, and the new motto will be displayed in the school for all to see and know.
