Christmas Concert 2015

Well done to all the boys and girls from Scoil Naomh Bhríde on their superb performances during their Christmas concert. From the positive feedback received, it’s safe to say the concert was a huge success!
Each class participated at their own level delivering some impressive performances!
Junior and Senior infant boys and girls, through narration, song and dance, told the story of the birth of baby Jesus. First and second class boys and girls performed a version of the songs ‘Frosty the Snowman’ and ‘Rudolf’ coupled with some acrostic poetry about Christmas. Third and Fourth class girls recited some beautiful poetry conveying the true message of Christmas, together with a variety of contrasting songs from lullaby to the famous oldie ‘I want a hippopotamus for Christmas’. Fifth and Sixth class girls, finished off the night with an impressive performance of the classic ‘Scrooge’ through narration, movement, song and dance. Finally, the whole school came together at the end to sing some well-known Christmas songs. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performances.

Many thanks to all the teachers involved for all their time and effort in preparing the children so well and to the children themselves for all their hard work and dedication. Thanks to the members of the Board and our Caretaker Gary for setting up our stage, arranging seating and supervising parking. Thanks to the parents and pupils who helped out with stage props and costumes. Thanks to John Cahill for our stage and exterior lighting and to Mrs. Shorthall for her expertise in decorating the hall for this event. Lastly, a massive thanks to the many parents, families and friends who supported the event. Over €800 was raised for our school and we are very grateful for this.
